Brad Zumwalt

President, Zinc Ventures

“The most important economic work that we can do I think as citizens is to help other citizens with their business…If we can show that we believe in them and they have every much as ability as any of us have to, you know, get some training, find a team supportive and get involved in a career in this space, then we can really change that family's trajectory, income and the stability there.”

Brad Zumwalt is President of Zinc Ventures where he manages his business and community investments after more than 30 years building and scaling tech companies. Named one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40, Brad has consistently turned creative vision into market-leading companies. Beyond his entrepreneurial track record, he is deeply invested in Calgary's innovation ecosystem: he co-founded Social Venture Partners Calgary with his wife Tanya in 2000, applying a venture capital model to local philanthropy, and was instrumental in bringing Platform Calgary to life as a downtown hub for courageous founders. Today, Brad volunteers his time at Platform and continues to champion the belief that Calgary's future depends on more Calgarians seeing themselves not just as earners, but as owners and builders.
