Miranda Russell is VP of Operations at Helcim, a Calgary-based payments company helping businesses across Canada and the United States accept credit card and bank payments with transparent, affordable pricing. Before joining Helcim eight years ago, Miranda worked in multinational oil and gas, a world away from the 24-person startup she stepped into, where there were no playbooks and every problem required building a solution from scratch. That challenge was precisely the draw. At Helcim, she has grown alongside a company that practices radical transparency and believes deeply in the power of in-person collaboration and community. Miranda and the Helcim team are regulars in the Calgary ecosystem, from Tech Tuesdays at Platform to volunteering at local events and running terminal loaner programs for nonprofits.
