Prabh Paul Parmar is the founder and Chief Laughter Officer of TraceRent, a Calgary-based proptech company building rent intelligence rooted in real market data. Born in Kuwait and educated in India, Prabh brings a rare combination of design thinking, strategic management, and deep technology expertise to the housing market. Before founding TraceRent in 2023, he spent two decades delivering infrastructure and real estate technology projects across China, the United States, Nigeria, Afghanistan, and the Philippines, serving global institutions including BlackRock, Siemens, Huawei, Walmart, KPMG, and Credit Suisse. TraceRent was born from a straightforward but underserved problem: while flights, hotels, and car rentals can be booked and priced in real time, rental housing still operates largely on guesswork. Prabh's answer is data. Transparent, algorithmically grounded rent pricing that gives landlords, investors, and tenants alike the confidence to transact. He chose Calgary as home base in 2020, drawn initially by Platform Calgary's role in signaling the city's seriousness as a tech destination, and stayed for the quality of life and entrepreneurial culture.
