"There's no better place across the country in Canada where the ability to marry a student journey and an academic journey with an entrepreneurial journey is stronger than right here.”
Guy Levesque is Executive Director of the Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking at the University of Calgary. Guy has spent his professional life strengthening Canada's research and innovation ecosystem through institution building, industry partnerships, and talent development. His career began in the classroom as a high school science teacher, and that original passion for sparking curiosity in young people remains the thread running through everything he does. At the Hunter Hub, Guy oversees a continuum of programming that serves everyone from first-year undergraduates exploring entrepreneurship for the first time to PhD-level founders building full-time startups. He is the architect of the V6 framework, a multi-dimensional approach to measuring ecosystem health across Volume, Velocity, Village, Value, Venture, and Vanity metrics. A firm believer in Calgary's unique entrepreneurial culture and the non-zero-sum spirit of its community, Guy sees the Hunter Hub as a training ground for the next generation of founders in the broader Calgary innovation ecosystem.
